Josh Allan was named the head coach of the Varsity Blues men's rugby team in March, 2023.
 
Allan joins the Blues with 20 years of experience in the sport of rugby. He holds a USA Level 100 and 200, as well as World Rugby One coaching certifications.
 
Most recently, Allan coached the Toronto Buccaneers in 2021, as well as the Midwest All-Stars in 2019. He served as the Westside Condors head coach in 2019-20, and was the assistant and backs coach for the Chicago Griffins men's first 15 from 2013-20.
 
As a player, Allan played for Leeds Carnegie and Sale Shark at A-league standard. He represented Yorkshire, North of England and England as a junior player. He then moved to Chicago to play in the Midwest division with the Chicago Griffins.
