Brandon Kirkwood was hired as Varsity Blues men’s rugby head coach in July, 2018.
Kirkwood joined the Blues after six seasons as the Georgian College Grizzlies assistant coach and strength and conditioning consultant. There, he helped the Grizzlies to three consecutive Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) podium finishes from 2015-17, including a perfect season and championship banner in 2016.
Kirkwood also served as the head coach of the boys under 15 Rugby Ontario – Northern Region team in 2014. He currently volunteers as the head coach of the Barrie Rugby Club, as well as the player development coordinator of the Barrie Rugby Football Club.
