    Men's Water Polo - Head Coach (6th Season)

Tuna Tali was named head coach of the Varsity Blues men’s water polo team in May 2018, after completing the 2017-18 season as the associate head coach.

His accomplishments include winning the Canadian national championship four times and the Ontario provincial championship eight times as both a coach and player.
 
Since taking on the coaching role in 2017, Tali has led the Blues to six consecutive undefeated seasons, winning six straight Ontario University Athletics (OUA) championships, while setting a record for the longest win streak and consecutive provincial titles in the program's history. He was named the OUA coach of the year in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
 
Tali also held the position of head coach for the Toronto Golden Jets during the 2022-23 season, where he led the team to victory in the Canadian national championship league and received the most valuable coach award. As a player in the same league, Tali won three national titles and was recognized as the most valuable player in 2015.
 
Tali's coaching success is rooted in his experience as a player with the Blues. During his four year tenure, he played a vital role in leading the team to two OUA titles and earned recognition as an OUA all-star in 2012. Upon graduation, Tali was honored with the esteemed Silver T award for his outstanding athletic performance, while his contributions to the university community were acknowledged with the Fr. Robert Madden leadership award.
 
Beyond his accomplishments in Canada, Tali has represented the Turkish national team and ENKA Sports Club as a player. In his professional life, he works as a management consultant at PwC Canada.
