Jon Moore became the Varsity Blues men's lacrosse head coach on May 1, 2020. Moore started out as the Blues defensive coordinator in 2017 before taking over the offence in 2018 and 2019. Prior to U of T, Moore founded and coached the Nipissing University team for five seasons (2012-16). 

As a player, Moore has excelled at all levels across Ontario. After getting his start in the St. Catharines Athletics minor program, he played for the Junior A team but had his box career cut short due to injury. Moore immediately got into coaching while continuing to play field in high school and university. He led his high school, Denis Morris, to an OFSAA championship as its inaugural captain. In university, he was captain of a tournament team for Nipissing University and a starting long pole for The University of Toronto.

Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts honours with distinction and a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University.
