Junior: Spent most of his junior career with the Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League, recording 21 goals and 23 assists in 85 games...also played for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the British Columbia Hockey League., tallying 10 goals and seven assists in 19 games...added another five goals and four assists in 12 playoff games. ...began his junior career with the Melfort Mustangs in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Personal: Older brother, Ty, currently plays with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and has played with the New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL.
