Junior: Earned a spot on Team Canada East that competed at the 2014 World Junior A Challenge in Kindersley, Saskatchewan....played on Team OJHL Nieuwendyk, leading the squad in scoring as they finished second at the 2014 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge in Toronto...as an alternate captain with the Whitby Fury, Kirkup scored 23 goals and added 37 assists for 60 points in 47 regular season games in 2014-15...played for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds after being drafted in the eighth round of the OHL Priority Selection.

Varsity:

2018-19: Dressed for 28 regular season and two playoff games...scored three goals and added six assists for nine regular season points...registered a season-high two points (2A) at Waterloo on Oct. 13...added one assist in the playoffs. 

2017-18: Dressed for 19 regular season games...scored one goal and ranked second on the team with 11 assists for 12 points...recorded a career-high three points (3A) in a 3-2 win over Brock on Jan. 14.

2016-17: Dressed for 20 regular season games...scored five goals and added five assists for 10 points...notched a season-high two points in three games this season. 

2015-16: Dressed for 24 regular season games before being sidelined due to injury...scored three goals and added seven assists...notched a season-high two points three times this season...scored his first career goal vs RMC on Nov. 20.
