‘Fish’, as he is affectionately known by the players and coaching staff, has coached at various levels and does a tremendous job with the Blues goaltenders. During the 2000-01 season, he worked with the Canadian national women’s team’s goaltenders prior to their World Championship. Fisher has worked at hockey camps in both Canada and the United States and is considered one of North America’s top goaltending instructors. He was one of the Blues great goaltenders of the 1980s and helped backstop U of T to an undefeated season in 1981-82. Fisher is also involved in coaching soccer at the rep level. Fisher is a high school teacher who lives in Mississauga with his wife Veronica and their children, Jennifer, Shannon, Ellen and Tim.
