Jamie Cook joined the Varsity Blues coaching staff in March, 2024. Prior to that, he spent two seasons (2022-23) as the quarterbacks coach for the Waterloo Warriors. In March 2023, Jamie was the Quarterback Coach at the CFL Super Regional Combine – leading quarterback positional drills in front of CFL coaches and front office personnel.
He began his coaching career in 2021 as the quarterback coach and offensive coordinator for the junior team at his alma mater, Collingwood Collegiate Institute (CCI). He helped them go 7-1, winning both the Simcoe County Athletic Association championship, as well as the Georgian Bay Secondary School championship.
In 2022, he was the quarterback coach and passing game consultant for the Huronia Stallions varsity (U18) team. He helped guide the Stallions to an 11-0 record and an OSFL AA provincial championship. His quarterback won MVP of the provincial championship game. In 2023, he served as the quarterback coach and offensive coordinator for the OSFL AA provincial championship-winning Huronia Stallions JV (U16) team. His quarterback led the province in almost every major statistical category and was named a first team all-Ontario all-star.
As a player, Jamie quarterbacked the Waterloo Warriors. He currently sits eighth on the Warriors all-time passing list with 2,693 yards. He also holds the Warriors record for most completions in a game with 33 (September 1st, 2014).
Jamie holds a Degree in Political Science (2015) and a Master of Public Service Degree (2017), both from the University of Waterloo.
