Former Varsity Blues standout Gabe Robinson joined the coaching staff in 2023 as a guest coach, and became the defensive line coach in March, 2024.
 
Robinson played five years for the Varsity Blues from 1998-02, earning OUA all-star honours twice and being named U of T’s Johnny Copp Memorial Trophy winner as team MVP for three consecutive seasons.
 
Following graduation, Robinson signed with the Toronto Argonauts in 2003 and, in 2004, became a Grey Cup champion.
