Mitchell took over as Varsity Blues figure skating head coach in September 2025.
Mitchell previously competed as a member of the Varsity Blues figure skating team from 2019-23, serving as team captain in her senior season. An OUA all-star after winning gold in the Star 10 Freeskate, she helped the Blues capture provincial titles in 2019-20 and 2021-22. Additionally, the U of T kinesiology alumna served as a Varsity Board representative and garnered a nomination as U of T's Frank Pindar Athlete of the Year.
Outside of competing, the Glenside, Pennsylvania native coached for six years with the Philadelphia Skating Club and most recently spent the last year coaching with the Forest Hill Figure Skating Club. Passionate about figure skating, she has displayed confident decision-making and creative problem solving as she develops curated practice plans and builds team-oriented environments focusing on skill development and uplifting others.
