de Lapeyre was named the Varsity Blues figure skating head coach in September 2018. While studying at the University of Delaware, she majored in athletic training, while taking a minor in both figure skating coaching science and strength and conditioning. She also holds a BA in psychology from York University.
She helped the University of Delaware to a United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) intercollegiate national championship title in 2011, while placing second in 2010 and third in 2012. During that time, de Lapeyre competed in both short and long programs, solo dances and team skills events.
de Lapeyre has over 16 years of competitive coaching experience. During this time, she also developed Candid Athletics, a sport-specific practice wear brand in conjunction with the #ChampionsLeague blog, curating a community of female athletes from around the world through sharing their stories of adversity faced in sport.
de Lapeyre has extensive performance experience, including with professional organizations like the Miami Heat (NBA), New Jersey Devils and Philadelphis Flyers (NHL), Atlanta Falcons (NFL), USA Hockey and multiple appearances on CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, ABC, CSN, HBO and Sports Illustrated.
