Mike Didier

Mike Didier became the Varsity Blues baseball head coach in April 2017. 
 
As a player, Didier helped the Blues to four consecutive Ontario East Division titles (1997-00), while also earning the Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association (CIBA) silver medal in both 1999 and 2000, as well as bronze medals in 1997 and 1998.  He was inducted into the U of T Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
 
He pitched a one-hitter in the 1999 CIBA national championship semifinal and was unanimously selected as the CIBA pitcher of the year in 2000. Didier posted a U of T record 0.85 ERA, which stood second-best in CIBA history. 
 
Upon graduation, Didier held three team records for most wins, lowest ERA and most complete games.   In 2002, he represented U of T at the World University Games and went on to a professional career with the Canadian Baseball League.  Didier also played in the NCAA for one season in 2000 for Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA, where he received a full baseball scholarship.
 
He currently teaches at University of Toronto School as a high school teacher where he also is the head coach for the Varsity baseball and basketball programs.  Under former Blues head coach Dan Lang, he served as an assistant coach with the team from 2003-05.
