1. Seasons:

The Varsity Blues men's soccer program features three seasons:

a) Competitive Season (August 15 - November 15)
A typical week during the competitive season:
Monday Off
Tuesday Training: 8:30-10:30pm
Wednesday Training: 8:30-10:30pm
Thursday Training: 8:30-10:30pm
Friday Training: 12:00-1:00pm
Saturday Game: 3:15pm
Sunday Game: 3:15pm


b) Winter Season (January 5 - April 15)
A typical week during the winter season:
Monday Weightroom: 8:00-9:00pm
Tuesday Training: 4:30-6:00pm
Wednesday Training: 6:30-8:30pm
Thursday Weightroom & Futsal: 8:00-10:30pm
Friday Off
Saturday Off
Sunday Scrimmage: 3:15pm


c) Summer Season (May 4 - August 15)
Training on Wednesdays
Players are expected to:
- Maintain fitness.
- Follow the summer fitness program.
- Train and play with a high-level club team.


2. Selection Criteria

As a coaching staff, we look at the following when considering potential recruits for our program:
a) Technical ability
b) Physical qualities
c) Tactical awareness
d) Work ethic
e) Attitude
f) Coachability

Consideration is given to players who compete in a competitive league during summer months, such as:
- Canadian Soccer League
- Ontario Soccer League
- Ontario Youth Soccer League/Academy
