University of Toronto Athletics

Varsity Blues baseball was established at the University of Toronto in 1885. Although the team was quite successful, a lack of funding and leadership led to its eventual demise in 1907. It was resurrected 88 years later, with the Varsity Blues entry into the Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association (CIBA) in 1995. Baseball entered the OUA scene in 2001, with the Blues winning the inaugural championship. They began play at the UTSC baseball field in 2006, and renamed the diamond 'Dan Lang Field' on September 26, 2011.
