Stinson Says #5 - Last Day of Two-A-Days
August 27, 2008 - Today was the last day of two-a-days. We were fortunate enough to have a little sleep-in today. We didn’t start practices until one in the afternoon. It sure felt great to sleep in, and guys felt as if they healed that much more.
The problem was our practice ran in the heat of the day. Running four hours of practice in the intense heat is really a true test of courage and heart. I don’t know many people who would volunteer to run their butts off in that kind of heat, in the middle of their summer vacation. Let me tell you, taking a visit to the lakeside cabin has never looked more appealing.
The guys worked so hard and showed their true colours today. They are bleeding blue and we are determined to get better. Just another day in the office for these blue collar workers.
