University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's swimming standout Nina Mollin has been named OUA athlete of the week for the period ending February 22, 2026.

Helping the Varsity Blues women's swimming team defend their provincial title, Mollin was once again named OUA Female Swimmer of the Year following an outstanding performance during the three-day showcase inside Varsity Pool. Adding to her collection of accolades, Mollin earned three individual gold medals (200m butterfly, 200m IM, 100m butterfly), one relay gold in OUA record time (4x100m medley), two OUA grand slams (200m butterfly, 200m IM), and the IM Excellence Award for a fourth straight season. She received the major award of Swimmer of the Year for a second consecutive OUA Championship, and her outstanding performance helped the U of T women claim the provincial banner for a 12th straight season.

In total, Mollin has now accumulated 16 OUA gold medals across her four OUA Championship appearances.

Mollin, along with the rest of the Varsity Blues swimming team, will next head to the Markham Pan Am Centre for the 2026 U SPORTS Swimming Championships scheduled for Mar. 12-14. Tickets for the championship are available online, while the entirety of the three-day competition will be streamed online via CBC Sports.
