HOW IT HAPPENED: In their third game in as many days, the Blues started strong, keeping up with the Carabins as they traded points. Neither team would take a significant lead under the end of the set when Montreal began pulling away and would take the set 25-19.
The second set would follow a similar fate as the first as both teams battled hard to win. This time around, the Blues would pull ahead late in the set, but the Carabins would not go down easily as extra points were needed to settle the set. Toronto took the second set 28-26.
Neither team would go down without a fight as the Blues and Carabins continued to battle and trade points through the third and fourth set. In another close set, the Carabins would take the third 25-23, while the Blues would keep their hopes alive with a 25-23 win in the fourth.
In the deciding set, the Blues would come out strong early, taking a 5-3 lead, but Montreal pushed back to grab a 12-8 lead, including five-straight points. The Carabins would ultimately take the final set 17-15.
