The Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team opened their exhibition schedule in Ottawa against the Carleton Ravens on Friday, September 16 falling 5-2.

How It Happened:

Carleton opened the scoring early, as forward Will Collins found the net to put the Ravens on the board. The Blues would respond, scoring shorthanded through second-year forward Cole Purboo. Closing out the frame at 1-1.
First period scorer Purboo, would make the most of a Blues powerplay early in the second to pull the Blues ahead 2-1. This lead would hold midway into the second period when Ravens defenceman, Scott Kerr capitalized on the powerplay to tie things up at 2-2.

The Ravens would score the first of a trio of goals, three minutes into the third by way of Collins. The remaining goals were scored by Ravens forward Aiden Wagner and defenceman Majid Kaddoura.
