BLUES SHUT OUT MUSTANGS

The Varsity Blues men's hockey team won 5-0 over the Western Mustangs on Saturday (Oct. 22) night.

The Blues now sit sixth in the OUA west division with a record of 2-2.

WHAT HAPPENED: The Blues started off strong with second-year forward Billy Moskal opening the scoring halfway through the first-period.

With eight minutes to go in the second-period, the Blues extended their lead with a goal from forward Ross Krieger.

The Blues continued to dominate well into the third-period. Moskal scored his second of the night in the periods opening minutes, while second-year forward Owen Robinson scored an empty net goal with three minutes remaining. Third-year forward Steve Elliot sealed the Blues victory scoring in the last second of the game.

Blues second-year goalie Jett Alexander recorded 31-saves in the win.

UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues head to Windsor on Friday, October 28th to face off against the Windsor Lancers. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
