The Varsity Blues men's hockey team beat Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 2-1 to finish their exhibition road trip in the United States on Sunday (Oct. 2) afternoon in Troy, N.Y.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues opened the scoring in the game in the first period, with a goal from Ben Woodhouse five minutes in. After a scoreless second period, RPI would tie the game six minutes into the third with a Sutter Muzzatti goal.
With six minutes to go, defencemen Connor Matton would score the game-winning goal for the Blues.
Kyle Potts, Owen Robinson, Billy Moskal and Emmett Serensits would finish the game with an assist.
Blues goalie Rayce Ramsay made 39 saves through the 60-minute win.
UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues return to action Friday, October 14 when they faceoff against Laurier for their home opener at Varsity Arena.
