BLUES FALL TO TMU TO FINISH OPENING WEEKEND

Box Score The Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 6-1 to the TMU Bold on Saturday (Oct. 15) night at Varsity Arena.
 
The Blues close out the first weekend of their season with a 1-1 record. 
 
WHAT HAPPENED: TMU opened up the scoring early in the first-period with a goal from forward Elijah Roberts. With seven minutes to go, TMU extended their lead with a goal from Kyle Bollers. The period was closed out with goals from TMU forwards, Joe Rupoli and Jessie Barwell, scoring in the last minute of the period. 
 
Bollers added his second goal of the game on the power-play four minutes into the second-period. The Blues answered back with a power-play goal from forward Owen Guy at the 10 minute mark. Bollers completed his hat-trick six minutes into the third-period. 
 
UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues return to action Thursday, October 20 when they faceoff against TMU. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m.
