BLUES DROP SHOOTOUT DECISION IN NORTH BAY

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 3-2 in a shootout to the Nipissing Lakers in pre-season action on Wednesday night (Oct. 20) in North Bay, Ont.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Lakers opened the scoring with a single tally in the first period; however, the Blues took the lead with back-to-back goals from 2019-20 OUA athlete of the year David Thomson and first-year forward Billy Moskal in the second frame.
 
Nipissing evened the scoring with eight minutes remaining in the third period and after a scoreless 3-on-3 overtime period, the home team secured the win in the seventh round of the shootout.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues bring their pre-season schedule home as they host the Waterloo Warriors this Friday, October 22 at Varsity Arena.
