The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to the Carleton Ravens on Friday, September 20 in Ottawa.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Ravens scored two powerplay goals in the first six minutes of the game to get out to an early lead in the exhibition match up.

First-year Blues defenceman Brendan Bornstein got U of T on the board 3:51 into the second frame, but the Ravens responded three minutes later to restore the two-goal advantage. Carleton notched their third powerplay marker of the game late in the second to take a 4-1 lead into the final frame.

Blues forward Kevin Lavoie rounded out the scoring with an even-strength goal with 13 seconds remaining.

U of T netminder Mark Manolescu made 28 saves in the loss.
