BLUES HOST RAMS IN DOWNTOWN SHOWDOWN

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team hosts the Ryerson Rams in our Under Armour Game of the Week this Saturday, October 19 at Varsity Arena.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here. The game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

The Blues are 2-2 to start the 2019-20 regular season after winning back-to-back games versus the then No. 10 ranked Guelph Gryphons and the York Lions two weeks ago. U of T is looking to get back in the win column after falling at Brock and Ryerson this past weekend.

The Rams are 1-1 after dropping their home opener, 5-2, to the Gryphons and coming away with a 6-3 victory over the Blues on Saturday night.

The Blues went 2-1 with the Rams in the 2018-19 regular season, before dropping two one-goal decisions to Ryerson in the first round of the playoffs.

Second-year forward David Thomson leads Toronto with two goals and three assists for five points so far this season. Both Nathan Hudgin and Kyle Potts have racked up one goal and two assists through the first four games of the year. Sophomore netminder Alex Bishop currently leads the OUA with a 1.67 goals against average.

Reigning OUA West player of the year Matt Mistele leads the Rams with two goals and one assist through their first two games of the season. Sophomore netminders Troy Timpano and Garrett Forrest have each played a game for Ryerson, hodling .872 and .897 save percentages, respectively.
