University of Toronto Varsity Blues football punter TJ Morton has been invited to the NFL's Giants mini camp in two weeks in New York.
Morton wrapped up his three-year career with the Blues this past fall, setting a new OUA single-season record in punting yards (3,921).
"It feels unreal," said Morton. "All of the hard work has paid off and I get to continue to do what I love. I finally get to be apart of this next level that only few are fortunate to do. Now it's time to go and show them what I can do face to face."
Morton has been named an OUA first team all-star three times and a U SPORTS all-Canadian twice.
He leaves the Varsity Blues as the U of T record holder in every punting category, including: most punts in a career (231), most punts in season (87), most punting yardage in a career(9871), most yards punting in a season (3921), highest career punting average (42.7) and highest single-season punting average (45.1).
