BLUES COME UP SHORT AT BROCK

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 3-1 to the Brock Badgers on Friday, February 9 in St. Catharines, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 11-15-1 and sit in ninth place in the OUA East division, two points behind the Windsor Lancers with one regular season game remaining.
 
The Badgers opened the scoring 2:59 into the contest with a goal off the stick of Mitch Nardi. The score remained 1-0 for the home team until there was 2:53 remaining in regulation.
 
Brock's Ayden MacDonald netted an even-strength goal andMack Lemmon added an empty-netter with 54 seconds remaining.
 
The Blues broke the shutout with 15 seconds remaining as Aidan Wallace found the back of the net on the powerplay, scoring his ninth goal of the season.
 
Fifth-year Blues netminder Andrew Hunt made 26 saves in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues wrap up the regular season and look for a crucial two points as they head north to take on the York Lions tomorrow night in the OUA Marquee Matchup at 7 p.m. Toronto needs the two points and for Windsor to lose in regulation to the Western Mustangs tomorrow night.
