The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's hockey teams return to Varsity Arena this weekend (Oct. 12-13).

Toronto's men host the Ryerson Rams on Friday, October 12, while the Blues women take on the Windsor Lancers in their home and season opener on Saturday, October 13. Puck drop on both days is set for 7 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here. The games will also be streamed live on OUA.tv

The Blues men opened their regular season with a narrow 2-1 loss to the York Lions last Wednesday night. Toronto then capped off their pre-season exhibition schedule with a big 4-0 win at Canisius College in Buffalo on Saturday afternoon.

Toronto and Ryerson had a heated season series in 2017-18. The Blues suffered 5-2 and 7-5 losses but bounced back with big 4-3 and 4-3 overtime wins to tie the season series at 2-2 last season, making Friday night's tilt the start of another action-packed rivalry.

U of T's women went 3-3-2 during the pre-season, with three of their losses decided by just one goal, while Toronto displayed an offence by committee as 12 different players scored.

The Blues swept the season series versus the Lancers in 2017-18 with 3-2 and 2-1 victories.
