BLUES SHUTOUT CANISIUS IN PRE-SEASON FINALE

Alex Bishop stopped all 34 shots he faced to help the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team beat the Canisius Golden Griffins 4-0 in exhibition play on Saturday, October 6 in Buffalo, NY.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues got off to a fast start. Rookie forward Kyle Clarke found the back of the net less than 90 seconds into the first period. After the intermission, Toronto got off to a fast start again. This time it was rookie forward Nate Hudgin who scored less than a minute into the frame. Veteran Max Lindsay extended the team's lead to three with a powerplay marker five minutes later and fellow veteran Ryan Kirkup sealed the victory at 14:14 in the second frame. 

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action on Friday, October 12 as they host the Ryerson Rams in their home opener. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m., at Varsity Arena.
