Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 2-0 to the Windsor Lancers on Saturday, November 4 at South Windsor Arena.
With the loss, the Blues drop to 2-5-0, while the Lancers improve to 2-5-1 in OUA West division action.
Special teams proved to be the difference as Windsor went 1-for-6 on the powerplay, while Toronto was unable to convert on eight attempts.
Windsor opened the scoring 3:54 into the game with a powerplay marker from Kyle Hope. The home team took the one-goal advantage into the first intermission.
The Lancers extended their lead late in the second frame as Kody Gagnon found the back of the Blues net.
Rookie netminder Frederic Foulem made 40 saves in the loss.
The Varsity Blues return to action this Wednesday, November 8 as they travel to London, Ont., to take on the Western Mustangs. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
