BLUES FALL TO GRYPHONS, TO PLAY FOR OUA BRONZE

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to the Guelph Gryphons in OUA semi-final action on Saturday, October 28 at York University.
 
With the loss, the Blues will face the Queen's Gaels, who fell 4-0 to the York Lions in the first semifinal of the day, in the bronze-medal match tomorrow (Oct. 29) at 1 p.m.
 
The Gryphons used two first-half goals to seal their victory. Olivia Finch opened the scoring in the seventh minute and Alexa Corrado added some cushion with a goal in the 17th minute of the match.
 
The Blues were rewarded nine penalty corners, to York's two on the day. Gryphons netminder Morgan Kelley made five saves, while Blues goalie Elizabeth O'Hara made one save in the loss.
