MEN'S HOCKEY HEARTBREAK IN ONE-GOAL LOSS

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blue's men's hockey team fell 2-1 to the Brock Badgers on Friday night (Nov. 4) at Varsity Arena.

The loss puts the Blues at 0-6-2 (W-L-OTL) on the season, adding to the Blues frustration of close one goal contests having lost six of the eight games they've played thus far by just a single marker.

Brock was first on the score sheet with a goal in the first period from Josh Timpano who tipped in a long shot past Blues goaltender Andrew Hunt.

Just a few minutes later the Badgers added another courtesy Matt McLeod.

Blues sophomore Matt Campagna had a great chance in the second period with a breakaway coming straight out of the penalty box, but couldn't get the puck past Badgers goalie Clint Windsor.

U of T first-year Connor Bebb broke the Brock shutout with a goal at 11:58 in the third period, setting up an exciting final five minutes.

Despite outshooting the Badgers with 38 shots on net, it wasn't enough for the Blues to get their first win.

Hunt ended the night with 29 saves.

Of note, the Blues were strong on the penalty kill, serving a total of 22 penalty minutes in the contest, including a ten-minute misconduct, but didn't allow any power play goals.

U of T are back in action tomorrow night (Nov. 5) visiting the Ryerson Rams. Puck drops at 6 p.m. with the game being streamed live on OUA.tv.
