BLUES SUFFER TOUGH LOSS AT HANDS OF RMC

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues fell 3-1 to the RMC Paladins Friday evening (Oct. 28) marking the first loss to the Paladins since 2011.

RMC opened the scoring in the first period as John Livingston was able to beat Blues goaltender Andrew Hunt to jump ahead 1-0.

However, U of T captain Charlie Connell evened the score with a powerplay marker to make it a 1-1 contest after one period of play.

From there Paladins goalie Matthew Murphy shut the door on the Blues over the next two periods while RMC added two more goals courtesy Dylan Giberson and Bennett Huber. Murphy ended the night with 27 saves.

Picking up an assist on the lone Toronto goal, forward Matt Campagna secured his sixth assist in as many games this season placing him in a tie for sixth in the OUA.

Hunt finished with 37 saves in the tough loss.

The Blues are right back at it tomorrow night as they take on the Carleton Ravens in the nation's capital. The game will be webcast live on oua.tv with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m.
