The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team are in search of their first win as they host the Lakehead Thunderwolves this Friday and Saturday night (Oct. 21-22) at Varsity Arena.

The Blues are 0-2-1 to start the season, but all of their losses coming from the narrowest of margins. Toronto dropped their season opener, 3-2, at Windsor before suffering a 4-3 shootout loss to the Waterloo Warriors at home. U of T then fell 1-0 to the York Lions last Saturday night.

Fourth-year netminder Andrew Hunt has started all three games and currently ranks fourth in the OUA with a .932 save percentage.

Offensively, the Blues have been led by second-year standout Aidan Wallace. Wallace has notched two goals and one assist in Toronto's first three games of the season.

The Thunderwolves are 1-1-0 to start 2016-17, splitting their doubleheader with the Windsor Lancers after a 4-3 win and 6-3 loss.

Forward Carson Dubchak and Sam Schutt led Lakehead in their homeopener weekend with three points apiece, while Devin Green got the start on both nights between the pipes.

Following this weekend's double feature at Varsity Arena, the Blues hit the road as they take on the RMC Paladins in Kingston, Ont., (Oct. 28) and Carleton Ravens in Ottawa (Oct. 29).
