BLUES FALL TO RAMS ON SCHOOL DAY

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team dropped a 9-1 decision to the Ryerson Rams on Wednesday, January 6 at Mattamy Athletic Centre.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 6-10-2 and remain in a three-way tie for seventh place in the competitive OUA West division.

The Rams took a 3-0 advantage after 20 minutes and quickly padded their lead with three goals in the first 2:34 of the second frame.

Second-year forward Max Flanagan scored what would be Toronto's lone goal at the 17:38 mark of the second frame.

Brett Willows and Michael Nishi posted 15 and 17 saves, respectively, in the loss.

The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow night as they travel to Waterloo to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
