WOMEN'S SOCCER EDGED BY MARTLETS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team fell 1-0 to the host McGill Martlets on Day 1 of the Old Four Tournament on Saturday evening in Montreal.

Daphnee Morency-Roussin scored the lone goal of the match in the 36th minute. U of T veteran goalkeeper Sara Petrucci posted 12 saves in the loss.

The Blues will now take on the Queen's Gaels, who dropped a 3-2 (PK 3-0) decision to the Western Mustangs, for third place tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.

Toronto opens their 2015 regular season next Saturday, August 29 as they host the Ryerson Rams at Varsity Centre.
