TORONTO VS BROCK PLAYOFF PREVIEW

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team hosts the Brock Badgers in OUA playoff action this Wednesday, February 25 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.

Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here and the game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

"We are excited to be hosting a playoff game within the new playoff structure," said Michèle Bélanger, now in her 36th season as Blues bench boss. "The team is pumped and ready to compete.  Our goal is to continue to play deep into March by competing every moment out on the court.  No game will be easy and we must maintain our focus on each possession, defending and executing offensively one possession at a time."

A Head-to-Head Look:

The Blues finished the season in third place in the OUA East division with a 10-9 record, just two points behind the second-place Queen's Gaels (11-8).

The Brock Badgers ended the regular season with an 8-11 record in third place in the Central division.

Toronto defeated Brock, 79-73, in their lone meeting of 2014-15 two weeks ago (Feb. 14) in St. Catharines, Ont.  U of T holds an 8-3 post season record over Brock, since their first playoff meeting in 1980. The two teams last met in the playoffs at the 2002 CIS national tournament, where Brock came away with a 75-67 victory.
