MEN’S HOCKEY VYING FOR FOUR POINTS AT HOME

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team returns home this weekend, November 20-21, to host the RMC Paladins and Carleton Ravens at Varsity Arena.

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on both nights. Advanced tickets are on sale here. U of T students are FREE with a valid T-Card. Both games will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

Four points could catapult Toronto (3-6-2) from ninth to fifth in the competitive OUA West division. The Blues are coming off a tough road trip, which saw them drop a narrow 3-2 overtime decision to Laurentian and a 6-3 loss to Nipissing.

Fourth-year forward Patrick Marsh leads the Blues with four goals and eight assists in 11 games, while fellow veteran Christian Finch has scored four goals and tallied six assists for 10 points. Team captain Andrew Doyle and rookie standout Mathew Campagna have scored a team-high five goals apiece, while each adding four assists so far this season.

Third and fifth-year netminders Michael Nishi and Brett Willows have split duties between the pipes, holding .837 and .907 save percentages, respectively.
The RMC Paladins are 1-9-3 and in last place in the OUA East division. Their lone win came in their season opener when they defeated the Nipissing Lakers 6-5 in overtime.

Bruce Hornbrook leads the team with six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 13 games so far this season. Scott Domenico has also scored a team-high six goals. He and Eric Louis-Seize have both tallied 10 points.

Matthew Beirnes and Matthew Murphy had split goaltending duties, holding .845 and .883 save percentages, respectively.

The Carleton Ravens are 7-3-0 and tied for fifth place in the OUA East division. The Ravens are riding a three-game win streak heading into a Ryerson/U of T weekend in Toronto.

Brett Welychka leads the team and ranks fourth in the OUA with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 10 games. Brent Norris and Ryan Van Stralen have also scored a team-high seven goals, while Michael McNamee ranks second on the squad with 16 points so far in 2015-16.

Patrick Killeen and Francis Dupuis have shared netminding duties, holding .891 and .935 save percentages. Dupuis ranks second among OUA goaltenders with a 1.83 goals against average as well.
