BLUES HOST THUNDERWOLVES FRIDAY NIGHT

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team hosts the Lakehead Thunderwolves this Friday, October 17 at Varsity Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are on sale here. The game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

Toronto then heads to Windsor to take on the Lancers on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Blues are 1-1-0 after opening weekend. The Blues defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs 4-2, before dropping a 5-1 decision to the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday.

A quartet of Blues tallied one goal and one assist last weekend, including assistant captains Jeff Brown and Michael Markovic, as well as third-year defenceman Dylan Heide and sophomore Dean Klomp.

Fifth-year netminder Garrett Sheehan had a spectacular debut, saving 33-of-34 shots faced versus Laurentian.

Lakehead is 1-3-0 to start the year, their only win coming versus York last weekend. Veteran forward Mike Hammond leads the squad with two goals and five assists, while third-year forward Kelin Ainsworth has notched six points in four games.

The OUA defending champion Windsor Lancers are 3-0-0 so far this season with two wins over Guelph and one over Waterloo. Spencer Pommells leads Windsor with two goals and two assists in three games.
