The University of Toronto Varsity Blues host the Waterloo Warriors in the final week of OUA football regular season action this Saturday, October 19 at Varsity Centre. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
The Blues will be honouring their graduating players in a special pre-game ceremony, and will also have the 1974 Yates Cup championship team on hand to help celebrate U of T Hall of Famer Ron Murphy that afternoon.

While Toronto's post-season hopes rely on some unlikely outcomes, the Blues have the opportunity to finish .500 with a 4-4 record for the first time since the 1993 Yates and Vanier Cup championship season, definitely an accomplishment from an 0-8 record six years ago.
"We've taken the entire season week by week and game by game," said Varsity Blues head coach Greg Gary. "We know we have the opportunity to do something great, something that hasn't been done in a long time."
Saturday could also be a big day for fourth and fifth-year receivers Alex Pierzchalski and Paul de Pass.
de Pass is just 128 yards shy of breaking U of T's all-time career receiving yards record, held by Mark Magee (2,385 – 1977-81). The Ajax, Ont., native sits at 2,258 yards through the air and has recorded 100+ yard games in each of the last three contests. He will look to hit the mark in his final game in the Blue and White.
Hailing from London, Ont., Pierzchalski is just 13 receptions away from breaking Cory Kennedy's all-time career receptions mark of 153 (2004-08). He has had a career-high season with 45 catches for 492 yards in seven games.
Of note, de Pass and Pierzchalski are only 12 and 13 receptions away from breaking another Magee record - this time for most receptions in a single season (57, 1981).
It has already been a record-setting season for third-year returner Kevin Bradfield (Toronto). Bradfield has set a new U of T record for the most punt returns (50) and punt return yardage (656) in a season, surpassing Roger Lippert's 1983 records of 49 returns for 539 yards. He sits just 76 yards shy of Glenn McCausland's career mark of 1,135 yards.
The Blues are coming off two big wins over the Carleton Ravens and York Lions. Toronto has combined for 106 points in their past two victories – something that hasn't been done since the 1991 season.
Third-year quarterback Simon Nassar (Toronto) has had a breakout season. After replacing an injured Chris Jugovic, Nassar has thrown for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns in the last three games.
Third-year linebacker Dylan Gordon (Cambridge, Ont.) leads the Blues and ranked fifth in the OUA with 44 tackles heading into the final game of the season.
The 1-6 Waterloo Warriors are coming off a rough 78-21 loss to the Queen's Gaels last week.
Fourth-year receiver Nick Anapolsky of Guelph, Ont., leads the team and is ranked fifth in the OUA, averaging 82 yards per game. Greg Zaitz leads Waterloo's defensive crops, sitting in second in the province with 45.5 tackles.
