BLUES FALL IN THREE CLOSE SETS

Box Score The Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the No. 3 and undefeated McMaster Marauders on Friday night (Jan. 11) in Hamilton, Ont.
 
The Marauders took a 2-0 lead over the Blues with 25-17 and 25-21 wins. U of T rallied and went point for point with the nationally-ranked squad; however, McMaster came out on top with a 32-30 third-set victory.
 
Fifth-year veteran Mitchell Woodside (Clyde River, P.E.I.) led all players with eight kills, while Dave Merritt added seven kills and four digs in the loss.
 
Stephen Marr and Alexander Elliott led the Marauders with seven and eight kills, respectively.
 
The Varsity Blues (2-8) look to rebound versus the Lions (5-5) tomorrow night at York at 8 p.m.
