The Varsity Blues men’s and women’s volleyball teams host their first double header of 2012 this Saturday, January 28 versus the RMC Paladins at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
Toronto’s men are scheduled to begin the day at 1 p.m., with the women to follow at 3 p.m. The Blues men also host a single game versus the Queen’s Gaels on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Advance tickets for all three games are available: click

The Blues women went 3-0 to open the latter half of the season before falling to the Ottawa Gee-Gees this past weekend. Toronto is 9-5 and sits in third place, but hold one-and two- games in hand over the second-place Gee-Gees (10-4) and Queen’s Gaels (10-5).
Second-year right side hitter Charlotte Sider (Ottawa) leads the team, averaging 3.30 points per set, while Blues setter Malena Rapaport ranks third in the OUA with 9.17 assists per set. Katrina Rossall has done a stellar job assuming the team’s starting libero position and averages 3.85 digs per set.
Toronto’s men are 2-10 and tied with Ryerson for eighth place in the OUA. The Blues are 1-0 versus RMC so far this season but dropped their lone game versus the Queen’s Gaels (8-6) 3-1.
Fourth-year veteran Mitchell Woodside (Clyde River, P.E.I.) leads the team and ranks sixth in the province with 3.73 points per set. Jake Dysselhof and Jonathan Adomait are also having stellar seasons, averaging 3.07 and 3.31 points per set, respectively.
