KESTERIS NAMED TO CIS ALL-ROOKIE TEAM

Varsity Blues goaltender Nicole Kesteris was named a member of the all-rookie team as the CIS announced major award winners at the All-Canadian Banquet at the Turret Lounge on the campus of Wilfrid Laurier University Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Wednesday night.

A native of Aurora, Ont., Kesteris logged over 1,000 minutes in 18 games played this season. With an impressive 0.933 save percentage, the first-year economics major recorded two shutouts on the season and held a 2.17 goals against average.

Also a member of the OUA all-rookie team, Kesteris earned OUA athlete of the week honours for the week ending Nov. 21, after making 71 saves in two consecutive victories over the Windsor Lancers and Western Mustangs.
