RAVENS BLANK BLUES

The Varsity Blues men’s hockey team fell 3-0 to the Carleton Ravens on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 5) at the Ice House in Ottawa

With the loss, the Blues drop to 4-4-1, while the Ravens improve to 6-3-0.

Andrew Self scored the eventual game-winner on a Ravens powerplay with just over a minute remaining in the first period.  The goal was assisted by Carleton captain Brandson MacLean.

After a scoreless second period, Carleton’s Chris Downey banged in a Tyler Taylor rebound 4:20 into the third period.  Shane Bakker added an empty netter with 1:40 remaining to round out the scoring.

Blues goalie Garrett Sheehan made 30 saves in the losing effort.

The Varsity Blues return to the ice next Friday, November 11 as they host the UQTR Patriots at Varsity Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
