The Varsity Blues men’s hockey team fell 5-0 to the Ferris State Bulldogs on Sunday, October 2 at Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Michigan.
First-year Blues goaltender Brent Willows made 31 saves in the loss. U of T forwards Byron Elliott and Bryden Teich led the charge with four shots on goal apiece, but were unable to solve three Ferris State goalies that saw action on the day.
The Varsity Blues open their 2011-12 regular season this Thursday, October 6 as they head north to take on the York Lions. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
