The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s hockey team fell 3-0 to the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, November 22 at the Carleton University Ice House.
The Ravens came out hungry in the first period and opened up the scoring when Mike Testa (Ottawa, Ont.) potted in a loose puck in front of the Blues net. Brandon Maclean (Burlington, Ont.) added another less than two minutes later to give the Ravens a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.
Maclean scored his second goal of the game off a two-on-one opportunity, taking a pass from Chris Downey (Burlington, Ont.) to beat Blues goaltender Russ Brownell (Oakville, Ont.) midway through the second period.
Despite outshooting Carleton 11-3 in the third period, Toronto could not get on the board and came away with the 3-0 loss.
The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, November 28 when they host the McGill Redmen at Varsity Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
