Fourth-year midfielder Shirley Ho was the offensive spark for the Varsity Blues women’s soccer team as they recorded two crucial back-to-back shut out victories at home this weekend.
The Calgary native ended U of T’s four-game scoreless drought, scoring what would be the eventual game-winner in a 3-0 victory over the Laurentian Lady Vees on Friday. Ho fought through a scramble in the 18-yard box and made a diving header to send the ball into the top corner of the net.
A fourth-year physical education and health student, Ho then recorded a game-high four shots to lead Toronto to a 2-0 win over the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday.
