Cam Kidd racked up four medals in helping the Varsity Blues men’s swimming team place third overall at the 2020 U SPORTS championships in Victoria this past weekend (Feb 20-22).
 
After helping the Blues to a silver-medal finish in the 400 freestyle relay on Day 1, Kidd reached the podium twice on Day 2.
 
The Paris, Ont., native earned the bronze medal in the men’s 50 butterfly in 25.05 seconds and went onto win the men’s 50 freestyle in 22.77 seconds. The gold-medal finish marked Kidd’s first national individual title in his four-year career.
 
A sociology major, Kidd wrapped up the meet with another silver-medal placing, anchoring the Blues 400 medley relay team on Day 3.
