Two-time OUA all-star, Shilin Cheung, capped off an undefeated season, winning both of her matches and helping the University of Toronto Varsity Blues team claim the bronze medal at the 2009 OUA badminton championship on Saturday, November 21 at York University.
 
The 2009 OUA player of the year, Cheung paired up with second-year player Josee Matte to handily win Toronto’s lone doubles match 21-11, 21-5 in the women’s number one position against the eventual champion Waterloo Warriors in semi-final action.  
 
Cheung, who is enrolled in U of T’s school of graduate studies,  then paired up with rookie Michelle Chow to win the women’s number two doubles match 24-22, 21-13 against York in the bronze-medal match.
 
A native on Hong Kong, Cheung completes a perfect 5-0 singles and 7-0 doubles record in 2009 OUA action.
