A first-year driver, Lauren Dundee was named the 2019 most valuable player in leading the Varsity Blues women's water polo team to their seventh consecutive provincial banners this past weekend in Ottawa.

The arts and science major scored 11 goals as the Blues recorded three dominant wins en route to the NCWP championship title.

The native of Perth, Scotland opened the weekend with a game-high six goals as the Blues topped the McGill Martlets 22-3. She followed that up with a four-goal performance in Toronto's 15-2 win over Carleton on Saturday.

Dundee added a single tally as the Blues defeated the Ottawa Gee-Gees 10-4 in the gold-medal match on Sunday. She was named the 2019 NCWP most valuable player and earned all-star honours for her efforts.
