Fourth-year midfielder Rachel Spouge scored two goals and led the Blues to an undefeated weekend in OUA field hockey action.

The commerce major scored what would stand as the game-tying goal off a penalty corner as the Blues and Guelph Gryphons played to a 2-2 draw in London on Saturday morning.

A native of Vancouver, Spouge followed that up with an outstanding performance to lead U of T to a 3-1 victory over the two-time reigning OUA champion York Lions on Sunday morning. The two-time OUA all-star and U SPORTS all-Canadian made key tackles all over the field and defensively controlled the midfield, shutting down the Lions outlet passes.

Spouge followed that up with one goal as the Blues dominated the McGill Martlets, 12-0, on Sunday afternoon. Toronto sits atop the OUA standings with a 6-0-1 record at the midway point of the season.
